Sameer Ahmed

 Chairman

Sameer is a litigation attorney his law practice The Ahmed Firm PLLC, represents many diverse North Texas businesses in DFW. He is responsible for MCC's overall legal oversight.

Dr. Asra Khan

Vice Chairman

Dr. Asra Khan received her PhD in counseling psychology from Texas Woman's University. She currently works at the Richland Oaks Couseling Center in Richardson. Dr. Khan spent last decade providing couseling to non-profit communities.

Treasurer

Ismail is a CPA serving MCC Board as a Treasurer for over 20 years. He is a recipient of excellence and service award at MCC's annual celebration in November 2021.

Barry graduated from Univ. of Arizona Eller College of Management with BBA. He is owner and broker of Elder Tree Realty in Bedford and served on the Board of several nonprofit organizations.

Chaudhry Naeem

Naeem is an experienced IT professional for 25 years. He is also a founding member and former VP of Pakistan American Asocial of Texas and served Pakistan Society of North Texas in different capacities over twelve years. Naeem is the founding member and President of Pakistan Community Services, Board of Director of American Pakistani Public Affair Committee.

Dr. Zaidi graduated from Nishtar Medical College in Pakistan. He is a practicing Psychiatrist in Arlington and Ft. Worth areas. A long-time member of the Board of Directors at MCC-HS.

Sofia Michelle Asari

Michelle received her B.A. in Philosophy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She completed her LL.B. From the University of Windsor, Canada. Michelle is a Barrister & Solicitor, licensed member of the Bar of Ontario under the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has interest in community diversity, bridge building and strengthening relations between Muslim communities and secular society.

​Dr. Basit Alli

​Dr. Basit Alli earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology after completing his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, with residency training in General Surgery and Family Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. He has been in private practice since 2006, specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and is board certified in Hyperbaric Medicine.

A bilingual therapist specializing in mental health and substance abuse. 

Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. My experience includes behavioral health casework at MHMRTC and supporting refugees and immigrants at MCCHS. I focus on culturally responsive therapy, client advocacy, and emotional wellness for diverse populations. I offer compassionate, bilingual counseling to help individuals and families navigate life challenges. My practice is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environment that encourages healing and growth.
